New build kitchen makeover

New build kitchen makeover

This post is overdue but a few months ago we finally tackled our kitchen. When we first moved in back in 2018, we had all black utensils. A few months later we switched to red and we stayed red till earlier this year.

But that got old, quickly and we decided to switch it up.

In with the new

We finally got the kitchen tiled and went with black subway tiles. They’re a classic and look lovely with any colour scheme. In terms of colour, we swapped the red for pale green. You hi big, or you go home and so we splashed out on the Smeg kettle and toaster. Yolo. (Do people still say that?!)

This room is so very nealy finished. We got a new oven and swapped from a gas hob to induction but we want a new cooker hood. We’re going to swap the white, seamless, cooker hood for one of the silver exposed one, if you know what I mean!

We also want to paint the back wall green to tie in with the appliances and fit some wooden shelves above the microwave too. Houses are always a work in progress aren’t they, but I’m loving how the kitchen/diner is coming toegyebr!
