Just how is it Friday already? My week off seems have to flown by so quickly, but I promised easrlier in the week I would be back with an update, so here I am! Yesterday I went down to London for London Fashion Weekend. Being an avid follower of Fashion Week and reading the many posts in the blogosphere, I thought why not take a trip to Fashion Weekend to live a snippet of the lifestyle and a cheeky shopping trip to London! (Warning- this post is very picture heavy!)
The event is being held at Somerset House and runs from yesterday to this Sunday (I think!). I went all out and booked the Shop The Lot ticket, which basically meant I could browse round the many stalls in Somerset House, enjoy a Catwalk show and enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbly, which you’ll agree is always nice!
Many high-end brands were in attendance so I got to coo over beautiful Vivienne Westwood clothing and fell in love with a couple of Lola Rose pieces. Diet Coke, Mullerlight, Toni & Guy and Benefit were in attendance with pop-up shops situated across Somerset House.
Event Schedule
Masterclasses were held in the Vodafone Lounge in the main show space and I attended a Toni & Guy behind the scenes chat with Irish TV Presenter, Angela Scanlon and Toni & Guy Art Director, Maria Galati, who talked us through the brands latest styling products and answered questions on all things hair-related!
Catwalk Show-Trends
I booked to see the Trend Shows which showcased 4 up-coming SS13 trends- Urban Lifestyle, Eastern Promise, Dolls House and Graphic Art. 4 very different trends and exicuted beautifully by Fashion Director, Hilary Alexander and the show was presented by Take Me Out- The Gossip presenter, Zoe Hardman.
Urban Lifestyle- Classic and contemporary and perfect workwear luxe.
Eastern Promise- A treasure chest of Oriental Inspiration!
Dolls House- A modern take on ‘pretty’ pieces!
